As North Wales largest tourist resort there is a wealth of pubs in Llandudno where you can relax and enjoy yourself.
In recent years Upper Mostyn Street has become the centre for Llandudno's Nightlife with older pubs such as The London merging with the newer pubs such as Wetherspoons which has opened in the building that used to be the Palladium Cinema.
If you're looking to be in with the crowds then Fountains and The Fat Cat are located within 100 yards of each on Upper Mostyn Street close to the Great Orme. You'll also find the 147 Club which tends to attract a younger audience nearby and just down the road is The London Pub which caters to a more mature audience. Just round the corner from these pubs is Wetherspoons which is probably Llandudno's largest pub. The Wetherspoons chain converted the old Palladium Cinema a few years ago and has been attracting the crowds ever since. Next to Wetherspoons is The Cottage Loaf which has been serving Llandudno's younger drinking crowd for over 20 years and a short distance from Wetherspoons is The Carlton ensuring that you need never go much further than this area if you don't want to.
If you're looking for something a little more relaxed then the King's Head pub is located close to Llandudno's tram station and provides a more traditional pub atmosphere away from the younger crowds.
If you're willing to stray a little further afield or just don't fancy the idea of all the crowds then The Kings Arms is located towards the bottom of Mostyn Street along with the Alexandra. Just a short distance away on Madoc Street are another couple of good pubs to relax in, The Albert is at the lower end of the street and also serves food, and The Cross Keys is at the mid point of Madoc Street.
Late Opening Pubs and Clubs in Llandudno
With the more relaxed drinking laws introduced recently most pubs in Llandudno tend to stay open until close to midnight. If you're looking for somewhere to drink after that time then you can visit either The Broadway Boulevard which is Llandudno's largest nightclub or The Washington Bar. Both are located away from the town centre towards Craig-y-Don and stay open until 2am. Both also charge an entrance fee which varies depending on the time of night you arrive and both have a dress code policy. The younger crowd tends to go to the Boulevard with the more mature opting for The Washington.
