Llandudno North Shore Beach
Llandudno's North Shore is framed beautifully between the two Ormes in a long crescent shape from the old Victorian pier to the Bodafan fields.
The beach is largely sand with the busiest part near the pier and Llandudno town centre. In recent years large sea defenses have been constructed which makes getting onto the beach more problematic as you move away from the busiest sections. The beach is framed by Llandudno's beautiful promenade which is crescent shaped and lined with hotels and stretches for almost one and a half miles from the Great Orme to the Little Orme.
Boat trips are available every day throughout the summer season from the jetty close to the pier and venture out into Llandudno Bay offering wonderful views of the Great Orme.
The North Shore is also the location for launching Llandudno's life boat and the boat is quite often on display near its slipway.
Close to the pier the promenade hosts puppet shows and amusement arcades.
The promenade is also home to North Wales premier theatre and conference centre Venue Cymru.
On nicer days boats from Llandudno Sailing Club can be seen in the bay which launch from their clubhouse close to Venue Cymru.
At the quieter end of the North Shore the hotels give way to Bodafan Fields that are also home to Bodafan Farm Park. The fields quite often host events such as the Llandudno Transport Festival. Opposite the fields is a large paddling pool located on the promenade that is very popular on warm days with family's.
