Welcome to Bodnant Garden a world famous ornamental garden set in over 80 acres in the beautiful Conwy Valley in North Wales close to the towns of Llandudno, Conwy, and Betws-y-Coed. The garden is set on the steep slopes beside the River Conwy and has wonderful views towards the mountains of Snowdonia.

It is easy to visit the garden which is just a few minutes drive south of the A55 dual carriageway from Junction 19, the Llandudno Junction turn off.

The Lily Terrace at Bodnant Garden

Bodnant Garden covers over 80 acres of parkland on the side of the River Conwy with a mixture of formal ornamental gardens and wild riverside expanses.

Your journey begins as you walk through the gate into the formal gardens of the old manor house. If you visit in the Spring then turn left and explore the upper gardens for walks through Laburnum arch and lawned gardens.

Below the manor house are the Italiante terraces layed out in a series of steps leading downwards towards the wild dell far below.

The terraces have large water features including the Lily Terrace which can be seen in the picture to the right.

The waterfall in the Dell at Bodnant Garden

The Dell is located far down from the more formal gardens above and follows the River Hiraethlyn, a tributary of the River Conwy.

One of the outstanding features of the Dell is the bridge and waterfall at the upper end of the garden.

Refreshments are available at the Bodnant Pavilion Tea Room contained within the grounds. The tea room caters for a wide variety of tastes including everything from light snacks to main meals.

Vegetarian meals are provided.

The tea room also offers a wide selection of cakes and puddings!

Located within the grounds of is the Bodnant Garden Plant and Gift Centre which offers a wide selection of plants for sale many of which can be found growing in the main gardens.
